As we had previously announced, this year we have several surprises in store, one of them was the official event prompt. But the most important surprise that we had been keeping secret was that this year we will create a musical compilation that will contain several songs and artists. This particular album will be curated by artists such as Toni Leys, Morffeine, Pixel Syndrome, and others.

This compilation will be an album with 40 tracks, which will feature the artists who will participate in the event, but to have a chance to be featured in it, we ask to please upload within itch.io your composed songs in a .WAV format. This is so that we can make the mastering job easier, as when uploading the tracks in compressed formats such as MP3 or OGG you lose a lot of information that can make your songs lack the quality that we are aiming for.

So, having said that, we wish that you have a fruitful Songtember in which you can showcase all your potential! <3

Como habiamos anunciado antes, este año tenemos varias sorpresas preparadas, una de esas era el prompt oficial del evento. Pero la sorpresa mas importante que nos veniamos guardando es que este año haremos un compilado de distintas canciones y artistas. El mismo estara curado por artistas como Toni Leys, Morffeine, Pixel Sindrome, entre otrxs.
El compilado constara de un album de 40 canciones, el cual estara compuesto por lxs artistas que participen del evento, pero para poder participar del compilado les pedimos lo siguiente, necesitamos que por favor suban a itchio las canciones que compongan en formato WAV. Esto es para poder facilitar el trabajo de masterizacion de las pistas, ademas de que al subir las pistas en formatos comprimidos como MP3 u OGG se pierde mucha informacion que puede hacer que sus canciones no se escuchen del todo bien.

Asi que habiendo dicho esto, les deseamos un songtember fructifero en el que logren sacar a relucir todo su potencial <3

This year we have lots of amazing surprises prepared for songtember! One of these is something you asked for in the first edition of the jam: a daily prompt.

Its usage is optional, it could to serve as an extra challenge for those who want to raise the difficulty level, or for those who can't find inspiration and want somewhere to start, from a conceptual perspective. Feel free to use it! :).

Este año tenemos varias cosas armadas para el evento. Una de ellas es algo que se vino pidiendo desde la primera edicion, que es un prompt para realizar durante el evento cada dia. 

La finalidad del mismo es meramente opcional, ya sea para servir de desafio extra para quien quiera subir el nivel de dificultad o para quien no logre encontrar la inspiracion. Se libre de elegir usarlo o no :).

If this is your first time here, maybe you can have questions, if this is the case, here you can get some answers.

• I don't know anything about composing. Can I participate?

Of course you can, this event was created to help you on the creative side when it comes to composing, but just as it serves to compose WIPs, it is also a good starting point to learn and share your creations with the community.

• What instruments I can use for my compositions?

Any and all the instruments that you want, whether they are physical instruments or different composition software (trackers or DAWs) are allowed.

Even if you want to beatbox, everything is allowed. ;)

• I composed something for another event. I can use it for this challenge?

Yes, the only rule is that song or the album must have been composed in the month of September, if this was created months before in another event and you want to make it public through the event,unfortunately this is not allowed (we delete all the entries that break this rule).

• Does the event have a prompt?

Yes, this year we have for the first time a prompt created for the event, you can see the prompt here.

Anyway you can create your own prompt to use yourself or share with the community. :)

• Does the event have a discord server?

At the moment the event does not have its own discord server, but we are using Toni's Cafe Server to debate and share data, compositions and other things. :)

ESPAÑOL

Si es tu primera vez participando, puede que tengas algunas preguntas de como es el evento, si ese es el caso, te dejamos algunas respuestas ;).

• No se nada de composicion ¿Puedo participar?

Claro que si. Este evento fue creado con la idea de ayudarte desde el lado creativo a la hora de componer, pero asi como te puede servir para hacer WIPs, tambien sirve como punto de partida para aprender a componer y compartir tus creaciones con la comunidad.

• ¿Que instrumentos puedo usar para mis composiciones?

Se permite cualquier tipo de instrumento que desee usar, ya sean instrumentos físicos o software de composición diferente (tracker o DAW).

Incluso si haces beatbox, todo esta permitido.

• Compuse algo para otro evento ¿Puedo usarlo para este desafio?

Si, la unica regla es que la cancion o album tiene que ser compuesto en el mes de Septiembre del corriente año. Si tu trabajo fue compuesto meses antes para otro evento y queres hacer publico el contenido por medio del evento, eso no esta permitido (eliminaremos todas las entregas que rompan esa regla).

• ¿El evento tiene prompt?

Si, este año creamos una lista creada para el evento, podes ver la lista aca.

De todas formas, pueden crear su propio prompt y usarlo ustedes o compartir con la comunidad. :)

• ¿El evento tiene server de discord?

Si, pueden unirse aca.
